Changed In A Moment

Jesus promised one day to return for those that through faith believe on Him to salvation. The body of believers from the time of the great Gospel message of Jesus Christ was preached on the Day of Pentecost until now would make up the composition of the New Testament church; with Christ being the head. Once we are introduced to Christ, it is our purpose and would be obligation to continue in the doctrine of the Apostles learning the same things Christ taught them when He walked among them in Galilee. These same teachings of Christ are the outline of the New Testament scriptures taking us from new birth to mature Spirit led believers. The apostle Paul writes in his letter to the church in Ephesus, "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." (Eph. 5:26-27 KJV) We are continuously washed by the word of God maturing us until the very day that we the church, the body of Christ, might be received of Him in glory; and at that moment in an instance we will be changed.

Having Faith Through Disappointment (Part 1)

Disappointment can often deteriorate our resolve of trust and can many times unravel our world of faith; especially when things that we dependently look towards seemingly let us down. However it is here where we as believers must trust God that He knows ultimately what is best for us. Sometimes we are not privilege to see the entire plan God has for our lives, but we must learn to trust Him unequivocally. God states through the prophet Jeremiah, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jer. 29:11 NIV) Part 1 of 2.

Victory In Jesus

Through the sacrifice of Jesus we have total victory from the perils of this world, and most importantly the verdict of sin. Sin has long been the dividing cause that has separated our relationship with God, but Christ brings a solution to the problem that had never been completely addressed before in the history of life as we know. The sacrifices of the Old Testament scriptures only appeased the righteousness required by God's Law simply because it was very hard to be accomplished in us by the susceptibility to commit sin; however Christ brings an end to all sacrifices as He offered Himself as atonement for our wrong doing, and with that He Himself has taken our punishment for us. The punctuating statement of sin and the resulting consequences of its resilient grip on our lives is physical death, but through Jesus Christ even death does not have a chance to them that believe. We truly have total victory in Jesus.

Not Guilty

The effect of sin has left a lasting impression upon all of mankind since its introduction intothe world through the disobedience of Adam. The relationship of mankind with God that was once so freely enjoyed is now impeded because of sin; it essentially separates us from God and hurts our connection with Him. For ages mankind has been plagued by the debilitating grasp of sin and we all have been left victim to its venomous sting of sickness and disease and the resulting consequence of death. No matter where we find ourselves in life we all have been riddle with the disease of sin; its clutch extends beyond racial and cultural barriers and has left all of mankind with the acquisition of guilt and the impending penalty of that guilt, death. Jesus Christ however is the solution to this age old dilemma that frees us from the guilt of sin and by faith in Him we have victoriously the power to live.

Listen, Believe, and Live

Today if you hear His voice, harden not your heart. These are the words of the Psalmist David as he penned them down in regards to the reluctance of Israel to believe in faith the promises of God. Sin has left mankind with the void and emptiness of being separated from God; due to the result of the blood guiltiness of sin we inherited because of the disobedience of Adam. Simply because we are in this world the repercussions and the impending consequence of sin remains with us all; but the atoning sacrifice of Christ makes it possible that we which were once dead in our sins may find life through Jesus Christ. Today the plea of the Gospel message is resonating all over the world, to those that have accepted Christ it is the comfort of our hearts to know that the Redeemer lives and there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.

Understanding It Better (Part 1)

It is amazing to watch God's plan unfold before our very eyes. We sometimes do not know or understand the ends and outs of every detail that God has outlined for us, but if we through faith and patience wait for the promises of God we will certainly not be disappointed. God lead Moses and the Israelites as far as they could comprehend, the edge of the Red Sea; and with mountains to the east and west, and Pharaoh's army pursuing behind the people of God could do nothing but wait on the Lord. Sometimes after we have done everything we have understood to do in God, we too must simply wait. God's plan for us will be revealed in due time and season, but we have to trust Him completely. The book of Proverbs tells us, "Wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." (Prov. 4:7) In patience the will of the Lord will be revealed in our lives, and we will understand it better by and by. Part 1 of 5.

The Remuneration of Christ

The return of Christ promises to us that He will not only return for those that through faith have turned toward Christ, but also upon His return there is a reward with Him for those services we have offered to Him in righteousness. Every day we are all working toward some goal ans some agenda, but we must carefully consider that what we are busy with is bring God glory in our lives. Every man's work will one day be tried against the accomplishmnets that we have acheived, and as it is so poetically stated, "only what you do for Christ will last."
